Connect in Cabo with Latham Pools | International Meetings & Event Photography by Kelli Price

When your business is pools & design, you HAVE to have your dealer meeting event in a venue with an amazing pool or two…..and Grand Fiesta Americana in Cabo was the perfect spot for Latham Pools!

The welcome party was a colorful Mexican party complete with a mariachi band for entertainment. The guests loved donning the large sombreros! During the general session the next day, Latham announced their new branding and marketing plan for 2020…..if I was in the pool market, I would go with Latham! General session ended with “Have a ball!!” and beach balls being thrown into the crowd. For the evening event, most of the attendees went on a sunset cruise to see the famous arch and whale watching. It was a beautiful end to day 2!

The vendors & dealers gathered together for their trade show and to vote on the pool photo contest. Don’t forget to grab a cute cup of yummy churros! The afternoon excursions options ranged from deep sea fishing, spa day or whale watching. I joined the whale watching group since that had the largest dealers going. The boats were smaller than I expected, more of a speed boat than a catamaran I was picturing. When we were moving it was super smooth ride, but after sitting for 20 minutes I did wonder if I was about to “feed the fish” if you know what I mean. We saw tons of whales coming out of the water and flapping their tails. But we didn’t get close enough to get any impressive photos!

Awards night started with a beautiful sunset and an opportunity to take your photo with mermaids under the sea!! As the dealers walked into the ballroom they were welcomed by the soothing sounds of a string quartet and a super cool visual wall that made it feel like the ballroom was under the water. As the event started, manta rays, a large whale and fish swam through the Latham logo…..it was so cool!! After the well deserved awards, the string quartet came back on stage, who had changed into sassy outfits belted out a Led Zeppelin tune. The crowd went wild for the performance. For the encore, they performed ‘Free Bird’ and people even pulled out their phones with their lights on….it was so fun and a great way to end the evening!
