tia + Chuck with Rosa - P1800 Magazine Article | Atlanta Lifestyle Photographer

Back in October 2016 I posted about my beautiful session with tia & Chuck. And again in 2017 when two of the images made it to the top 10% AND as a finalist of the Shoot & Share contest! Well, this is the session that just keeps on giving, this summer tia's article with a THREE page spread was published in a popular german magazine. Read the translated article below! I'm officially a published photographer :) Stay tuned for tia's session this past fall with her beloved 1978 Saffron V70 R AWD, Boo!

Article written by tia Lynn:

With the advent of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and a plethora of other social media formats, it seems that all around people were sharing images from their own personal photoshoots. The classic family portrait has become outdated and now there is everything from the uber-popular jeans and white shirts in some outdoor setting to elaborate wedding, engagement, graduation, pregnancy, newborn, multi-generational … and not be forgotten fun and fabulous children and the family pets portraits! I was beginning to realize that there was not one professional photograph of myself with my husband Chuck Wilberger to be found.

Luckily, as an artist I had some wonderful professional photographers in my circle of friends … one of whom I thought would be up to the challenge of creating some unique images of us that were not your typical glazing lovingly into the eyes of my husband of almost 20 years! And that, quite honestly, was the obstacle that I faced in getting Chuck to agree to be a part of any part of a photoshoot. I had to have the perfect sales pitch and so I contacted Kelli Price and we polished up my presentation to get Chuck to participate.

Kelli knew of our passion for all things Volvo and well-known love of champagne. The Wilberger/lynn garage currently houses three Volvos: Rosa … the featured P1800, Boo a V70R AWD and Rum Runner a XC60 T6. The love of champagne extends to our famous “Champagne Fridays” and our cats are even named after two of our favorite bubbly brands … Piper Heidsick and Taittinger). I thought I had the trifecta to secure not only his agreement to participate, but to actually get behind the project:

  1. Rosa, his beloved P1800

  2. Chilled champagne

  3. Kelli … he too admired her work and style.

And the piece de resistance, I already had permission from friends Mike and Sandy Emmett to use their scenic property that we both loved for the photoshoot.

It worked! He agreed! We had the perfect weather, Rosa looked stunning and I think Chuck even had fun, or at least the champagne made it less painful! We now have framed pieces in our home and office/studio and something to share with all our friends on whatever social media is our favorite of the day. Chuck and I hope you enjoy our little family portraits!

As a footnote, Kelli will be doing another photoshoot with us in October to celebrate 20 years of hauling my artwork around in Boo, my 1978 Saffron V70 R AWD!
