A good deed at the El Dia de los Ninos

One of the (many) great things about being a photographer is combining what I love AND supporting a great cause! I recently volunteered to be on the Planning Committee for the Quality Care for Children’s fundraiser event, El Dia de los Ninos. One of the tasks was a "fun activity" for the event. The committee decided that a photo booth would be a good fit and could be a keepsake of the event. I jumped at the opportunity to be the "Step & Repeat" photographer.

This was my first time working a photography booth at an event, so I was a little nervous. Would people put on the props? Would they do the dreaded "prom pose"? Would they even stop by? All concerns were quickly set aside as the guests started to arrive. They all enjoyed the Dr. Seuss props and I was able to cajole some of them to pose silly. I had SO much fun!! It was a wonderful opportunity to meet everybody, especially the staff and learn more about Quality Care for Children. Best of all, the event, raised over $120,000 which will help provide nutritious meals & snacks to children in the metro Atlanta area.
