Accessories and personal items are a fun way to make your senior portraits feel less like a formal photo shoot and more like an afternoon hanging out and having fun.
My cousin, Sara, absolutely nailed this! She incorporated a fun baseball hat, a book from the Outlander series, and even a baritone saxophone. Add in multiple outfit changes, and we had a gallery full of personality, variety, and images that truly reflected who she is.
That's what I LOVE about senior sessions! It's not just about getting a few great photos. It's about capturing all the little things that make this chapter of your life uniquely yours.
Think about bringing:
Your favorite hat, beanie, or sunglasses.
A book from your favorite series.
Your instrument, sports equipment, or something related to your hobbies.
Your letterman jacket, favorite jersey, or college sweatshirt.
Are you a skier, snowboarder, musician, bookworm, artist, or baseball fan? Let's incorporate it!
And don't be afraid to bring multiple outfits. A few wardrobe changes combined with personal accessories can give your gallery completely different vibes, from casual and playful to dressed up and polished.
The best part? You don't need to have it all figured out before your session. Bring the things you love, and we'll find fun ways to incorporate them. Those personal touches often become the photos you'll treasure most because they capture exactly who you are right now.
While I love being a Reno/ Lake Tahoe Family photographer, it is always fun to travel back east for a different view!
I loved everything about this Senior Session with my gorgeous cousin, Sara! The hair, make-up, the cute outfits, her love for reading....and that Baritone Saxophone! Of course, it didn't hurt I got to visit with my Aunt Deon and 3 of my cousins who drove up to Atlanta from Florida just for the session, I felt pretty special. Nothing else needs to be said....the smile in Sara's images show what an amazing young lady she is!
