Carr Photography LLC is the creative partnership of David and Tonya Carr—two award-winning artists whose unique paths in visual storytelling ultimately converged into one shared vision.
David spent 25 years traveling the world as the drummer for the four-time GRAMMY-winning band Third Day. His experiences on the road and behind the scenes sparked a passion for capturing meaningful stories, which led him into photography a decade ago. With a lifelong love of design, film, and portraiture, he’s especially dedicated to helping people feel confident and authentic in front of the camera.
Tonya began shooting film at 15, later earning a degree in visual arts and opening her studio in 2009. Her work in portraiture, fine art self-portraiture, and macro wildlife has been published and exhibited internationally. She holds a Master of Photography degree, multiple PPA Platinum Medals, top MPI rankings, and is a two-time Siena Creative Photo Awards finalist.
Together in marriage and business, David and Tonya combine their talents to offer elevated portrait and event photography—imagery that is both artful and deeply impactful.
Cassie Connelly, Associate Photographer
I am an Atlanta based photographer with nearly 20 years experience. Specializing in portraits, headshots and event photography, I have traveled the nation, working with a variety of prestigious companies and clients. By blending traditional portraiture and photo journalism, my style is the perfect mix of personal and professional. In all settings, my goal is to create a relaxed environment for my subjects so the images are natural and realistic.
Victoria inman, Associate Photographer
Victoria lives with her husband and two daughters in Marietta, Georgia. Photography is her creative outlet, and she has been practicing the art for more than 20 years. Her focus areas are in wedding, event, newborn, and portrait photography services. She recently published a coffee table book, Spark Acceptance, that features portraits of those with different special needs.

A few years into my photography journey, I was asked to shoot headshots in a brand-new location. I had 15 minutes to find the light and make it work—and I did. The client’s reaction?
“This is my favorite photo of me ever!”
That moment stuck with me: everyone deserves a photo they love. One that makes them feel seen, beautiful, and proud. I want to do that for you.
Ever since, my goal has been simple: to help real people feel amazing in front of the camera and walk away with images that capture their light. Whether we’re photographing your family, your brand, or just you for you, I’ll guide you every step of the way so you feel confident and supported.
Originally from Atlanta, I moved to Truckee in 2016 to explore the mountains and make this my home base (though the South will always have my heart). I’ve photographed families, couples, brands, and big events all over—from Tahoe to Athens, Greece —and bring tons of energy, experience, and heart to every session.
